The company Egon Löh, Gems and Gold, was founded in 1958 by Mr. Egon R. Löh.
In 1962 the company concentrated on gold- and silver jewellery and abandoned the gems departement. In the following years Egon Löhs daughter Elfie and his son-in-law Volker Luckenbach joined the company. Short after this, the company building was extended with another 500m², creating 50 new jobs.
In 1980 the sole enterprise Egon Löh changed into a private LTD. (GmbH & Co KG), Egon Löh became the CEO. With his niece Anja Luckenbach, the third generation joined the company in 1985. Since 1994 Mrs. Elfie Löh and Mr. Volker Luckenbach have been CEOs.
Nowadays approx. 60 employees in Idar-Oberstein and abroad manufacture gold- and silver jewellery of the lower to middle price range in various alloys. The product range has been specialised on all kinds of rings, pendants, necklaces and earrings.
With the start of the new year, a new generation takes charge, as Volker Luckenbach hands over management responsibility to his daughter, Anja Carina Hahn on the first of January 2019. Mrs Simone Schneider was granted power of attorney.
